Introduction to Rennes-Le-Château
today
|
I cannot say that my attention is to present the village of Rennes-Le-Chateau to the daily of our time. No, what I wish that is to make a little the point on the business as oneself wants to present it to us today.
What is remarkable that is the way of which the history of Rennes-Le-Chateau came to the general public knowledge. There were essentially two of them; one and the other being the release of books. The first was published in 1967 under the title of "The gold of Rennes", /its author being Gérard De Sède. The second in 1982 under the title "The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail" of Henry Lincoln, Richard Leigh and Michael Baigent.
I didn't have, alas, the luck to read the work of Gérard De Sède, but with the passing of my works, it was simple to me to understand that this book was the main column of the modern business of Rennes-Le-Chateau.
After the release of this book the business was thrown, to the point that the life of the Rennes-Le-Chateau village undergoes a deep deterioration of it; some not hesitating to use some explosives close to the village, and sometimes same within same to put up to date the "treasure" of Bérenger Saunière. |
 |
The city council of the time was even brought to take severe measures while forbidding all types of excavations on the territory of the Rennes-Le-Chateau Township. The state police of Couiza had to many times to intervene to stop some individuals all as incredible the some that the other.
Some returned that of the men speaking an unusual language for the region, and making themselves pass for geologists, surveyed the region and the village. After some research these individuals proved to be of the agents of the Israeli information speaking the Hebrew… (!?).
 |
Does another legend tell that during one time (maybe it hard-t'il always?) the policemen, or in any case of the civil servants of the state, were assigned to photograph all vehicles going up the road to go to Rennes-Le-Chateau.
The climax of the astonishment was reached can of time after the election of François Mitterrand in the highest station of the State. Indeed, during one of his visits to a friend living in Quillan, François Mitterrand, astonished of the history of Bérenger Saunière that his friend told to him, wished to go to Rennes-Le-Chateau. So was made and without no effect of announcement, there is the President of Republic who goes to the fabulous village. It is simple to imagine the rumour is going round after his passage. |
It is more or less to the same time that appeared "The Homy Blood and The Holy Grail" The media business was thrown completely.
In some month, the names of Plantard, Cherisey, Priory of Sion fell in the common language of the enthusiasts of the business. The book of Gérard De Sède had achieved a first instillation while "The Holy Blood and The Holy Blood", assured the booster shot. It was not necessary more of them so that the fantastic and fanaticism seize all the region of Rennes-Le-Chateau. All the survey of the three English journalists rests on the survey of the Lobineau file, set down to the Library National French. This regrouping of documents explains us with strength details the structure of the Priory of Sion of its origin until our time. One regroups the big and small history of France there. One lists the name of the big masters of this Priory, ending on Jean Cocteau, there. |
 |
After having gotten in relations with Gérard of Sède, the three British were presented to Pierre Plantard De Saint-Clair. One discovers that Plantard means "ardent Offshoot" and that "Saint-Clair" is descended of Saint-Clair-Sur-Epte close to Gisors. In the Lobineau documents, one signals us, in 1188, the separation of the order of the Templars and the Priory of Sion during the abatage of the elm of Gisors. Symbolic act if has of it to him. The buckle was curled, Plantard legitimized itself.

This affair of Gisors, although distant in kilometers, is not on the bottom of the plot of the Rennes-Le-Chateau business. Or rather the protagonists are the same. In its edition of 1962, to the Julliard editions, the book of Gérard De Sède "The Templars are among us!" is quite for us a source of information palpitating. In summary, this book tells the history of Roger Lhomoy, guard of the castle of Gisors before and during the last war. This man fascinated of learned legend that a treasure was hidden in the clod of the dungeon of this castle. Only listening to his passion and his courage, he made clandestine excavations, until the day where he found something. What he found, and according to him, was not a least thing: An underground chapel, named Saint Catherine, and containing within several score of cases containing the treasure and the archives of the order of the Templars. Gérard of Sède quite tells us this fabulous history of a way passionate proving us here his journalist's qualities. |
The astonishing point, in our topic, is not the history of Lhomoy by herself, but rather the individuals who wished to demonstrate that Lhomoy said truly. They even went as far as founding an office of survey of the name of "Society A.C.T.I." having its registered office in Versailles. For his book, Gérard of Sède surrounded himself of several people, each loaded of a very particular stain :

Pierre Plantard, omnipresent for everything that touches the mystery of Gisors and Rennes-Le-Chateau. Pierre Plantard, always in stain of bottom to pull the strings and to make write his ideas by others. It is obvious that this character is the axis of the modern affair of Rennes-Le-Chateau. As much as one can find a pseudo tie between Gisors and the Priory of Sion, as much as the tie between Rennes-Le-Chateau and the Priory of Sion is not so simple to demonstrate.
The only thing of which one is certain is the filiation of the Priory of Sion to a non-profit association governed by the law French of 1901 relative to the associations.

Pierre Plantard pretend to be the big master of the Priory of Sion. This statute allows him to lean on the File LOBINEAU, that demonstrates the progeny of the Plantards DE SAINT-CLAIR in the Mérovingienses. In a word, only Pierre Plantard has the right to pretend to the throne of France! It would be interesting to know the opinion of the Count De Paris on this topic.
It is indisputable that Pierre Plantard, lead the journalists where he wants to take them, and all are made themselves trap. The plan of man.uvre is very discriminating and spreads on several decades. Alas, canvas is so very tense that one cannot know that hides really behind. It is obvious that Plantard only plays the role of the public man. Besides since he is incriminated in books or, now, on Internet sites, it is surprising that he never wanted to express themselves and to tempt to convince his family's legitimacy. |
 |
On the whole this history is thrown since the 25 juin1956, date of the deposit of the statutes of the Priory of Sion to the under-prefecture of Saint-Julien-En-Genevois police, and three years after the death of Marie Denarnaud, the only one that could validate or to invalidate the subjects of some.
Then, the book of Gérard De Sède, "The Templars are among us!" is a first ball probes. One recovers the big themes of Plantard, in this work, upside-down plan, demonstration of the Priory of Sion.
Some years later, he takes his famous books then on Rennes-Le-Chateau, "The gold of Rennes", "The treasure curses", then "The Fabulous race".
To really note it, all began AFTER THE DEATH OF MARIE DENARNAUD. Nothing existed before its death.
Will come then the time of Henry Lincoln and his cosigners of "The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail"; there we arrive to the years 80. On the other hand since some years, we attend a discount in global reason of some affirmations that were presented in the aforementioned works.

Gérard De Sède overtly tells us that he has been manipulated and fooled in his book" Rennes-Le-Chateau, The file, the impostures, the fantasies, the hypotheses". Henry Lincoln makes in the same way in his last book: "The key of the Rennes-Le-Chateau Mystery". He takes us in the journey of the meetings and évènements that will drive until "The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail".
All could really have gone for Pierre Plantard, until the moment where Henry Lincoln the taken to against foot and especially to the destitute when he asked the following question: "The geography of the Rennes-Le-Chateau region is not pentagonal this is not?". There, Pierre Plantard has been disconcerted completely since prepared not to this question. This évènement is the very proof that Pierre Plantard is the tool of individuals that has all interest to what the researchers are passionately fond for the pseudo Priory of Sion more that for the reality of the business. |
Now the true question that it is necessary to land, who is behind Pierre Plantard? Freemasonry, no, I don't think it! The Rose-cross? I don't believe it either! The State? What would its interest be? Then who ?
