May 1999
It is to this date that the township of Rennes-Le-Château decided the setting in yard of the works of the gardens of the church. These works were achieved in two phases. A necessary restoration was achieved of the underground cave of Bérenger Saunière, or so-called underground cave" Of the Bench ". .

This period is dedicated to the setting in yard of the second slice of works. It concerns the planning of the belvédère of the village and the Christ du Calvaire.
